FAQ
Everything people ask us
Entry and ID, dress code, how bookings work, what is on the casino floor, what the bar serves, how late the kitchen runs and where to park. If your question is not here, just ask us.
Section 1
Visiting the bar
Walk-ins are welcome and we hold floor space for them every night. That said, Friday and Saturday fill up — if you are arriving with a group, celebrating something, or you want a guaranteed seat, send an enquiry and we will reserve an area for you.
Smart casual. Clean shoes, no high-vis, no gang insignia. Our door team has the final say, and on themed nights a bit of effort goes a long way.
The gaming machine lounge is open from doors every night we are trading. Dealer-run blackjack runs Thursday to Sunday, roulette opens on Friday and Saturday as the room fills, and the poker room runs scheduled midweek sessions. Entry to the casino floor is 20+, the same as the venue, and there is no separate charge to walk in.
Entry is 20+. Please bring current photo ID — a New Zealand driver licence, Kiwi Access Card or passport. Our door team IDs everyone, every night.
Most nights entry is free. Selected guest-DJ and themed nights carry a door charge, and we will tell you before you arrive if you ask. VIP table and booth bookings always include entry for your group.
Bar snacks are available from open. On Friday and Saturday the kitchen keeps going well past midnight — if you are after loaded fries at 1am, we have you covered.
There is street parking around the venue plus public parking a short walk away. Plenty of our guests rideshare or taxi in, and the drop-off point is directly outside the entrance.
Yes. Groups of eight or more are best booked ahead so we can set up adjoining booths or a reserved zone. For anything over twenty, our events team will put a package together with bar service, snacks and a DJ brief.
Wednesday and Sunday 5:00pm–12:00am, Thursday 5:00pm–1:00am, Friday and Saturday 4:00pm–3:00am. Monday and Tuesday we open for private bookings only.
An hour before close. Our door team will also stop admitting new guests earlier than that if the room has reached capacity, so on a big Saturday it pays not to leave it until 2am.
Entry is step-free at street level and there are accessible facilities inside. Tell us in your enquiry if there is anything we should set up in advance and we will have it sorted before you arrive.
Yes, staffed on Friday and Saturday from 8pm. Jackets and small bags only, and everything needs collecting before close.
Section 2
Bookings, VIP and parties
Your reserved booth or table, the bottles in your package, all mixers, ice and glassware, and a host looking after the table for the night. Presentation service is included on the Champagne Table and Big Night packages.
Booths comfortably seat six, tables take up to ten, and linked tables handle larger groups. Tell us your numbers and we will match you to the right space.
Yes. Your whole group comes in on the VIP line, so you skip the general queue on busy nights.
Of course. Your host will bring additional bottles, shot rounds or snack platters straight to the table and add them to your tab.
Get in touch as early as you can and we will move your booking where availability allows. Deposit and change terms are confirmed in writing when you book.
Small free-standing decorations are fine and our host will help you set up before guests arrive. We handle table signage ourselves — just tell us the name you want on it.
No. A straight table reservation costs nothing to hold. Deposits apply to VIP, bottle service, party and venue hire bookings, and the terms go to you in writing before you pay anything.
Capacity depends on setup — contact our events team. Reserved booths suit a dozen, the party floor package handles around forty, and exclusive hire opens up the whole room.
Monday and Tuesday are private bookings only, which makes them the easiest nights to get the room to yourself. Send us your date and headcount and we will put a quote together.
Section 3
The casino floor
A gaming machine lounge that is open from doors, dealer-run blackjack from Thursday to Sunday, roulette on Friday and Saturday nights, and a separate poker room running scheduled midweek sessions. A service bar inside the lounge covers the full drinks and bar snack list.
No membership and no booking. Walk in with photo ID and the floor is open to you like the rest of the venue. The only thing worth booking ahead is the poker room for a private game, or a reserved section of the lounge for a group.
No. There is no door charge for the casino lounge and no minimum spend. On selected guest-DJ and themed nights a door charge may apply to the venue as a whole, and we will tell you before you arrive if you ask.
Entry is 20+, the same as the venue itself, and our team check current photo ID on every visit — a New Zealand driver licence, Kiwi Access Card or passport. There are no exceptions, including for guests who are part of a private booking.
Yes. The casino lounge has its own service bar and a service button at each bank of machines, so cocktails, taps, wine, zero-alcohol drinks and bar snacks all come to the floor. Our team will not serve anyone who has had too much, on the gaming floor least of all.
Not at all. Low-stake blackjack tables open early in the evening for exactly this, and our dealers will talk you through the hand before the cards come out. Nobody at our tables minds a first-timer asking.
Set your limit before you sit down and treat it as the cost of the entertainment. Our team watch the floor, offer breaks, water and food, and will decline further service or help you set a limit if you ask — see our responsible gambling page.
Yes. The poker room or a reserved section of the lounge can be booked with a dealer, a drinks package and a host, either on its own or added to a party or corporate package. Send our events team your date, headcount and budget.
Section 4
Drinks and food
Absolutely. Our bartenders know the classics cold — tell them what you usually drink and they will build it or suggest something close.
Several snacks are vegetarian and we can adjust others. Let the team know about allergies when you order and they will talk you through the options.
Booth and VIP bookings get table service through their host. Everywhere else, order at the main bar — we double-staff it on weekends to keep things moving.
A full section of them. Non-alcoholic cocktails, zero-alcohol beer and soft drinks, served in proper glassware with the same garnish.
Yes — shot rounds, bottles and platters can all be arranged ahead of time so they land on the table when your group arrives.
Section 5
Music and event nights
Send an enquiry with your date, group size and the kind of night you are after. We confirm by phone or email, hold your table, and only take payment details for VIP and bottle service packages.
Our residents are on the decks most nights, with guest DJs rotating through on Saturdays and themed nights. Check with our team for this weekend's line-up.
The main floor is built for volume once the DJ set lifts. The side lounge and booth area sit away from the speaker stacks, so there is always somewhere you can hear each other.
On open nights our DJs read the room rather than take requests one by one. For private hire you can brief the DJ properly in advance.
Arrive before 9:30pm for an easy entry and a seat at the bar. From 10pm onwards the floor fills and a queue can build on the busiest nights.
Yes, a staffed cloakroom operates on Friday and Saturday from 8pm. Jackets and small bags only, and everything needs collecting before close.
Section 6
Entry, ID and house rules
A current New Zealand driver licence, a Kiwi Access Card or a passport. Photocopies, expired documents and photos on your phone are not accepted. Our door team ID everyone, every night.
It is the entry policy we run for the venue as a whole, and it applies to every guest in every group, including private hire. Entry is restricted to 20+.
No ID, intoxication on arrival, aggression towards our team or other guests, high-vis clothing or gang insignia. Our door team have the final say and they will always tell you why.
Our team stop serving and look after them — water, somewhere to sit, and help getting into a taxi with someone they came with. We would rather do that than have anybody go home badly.
No drinks from outside. Cakes are the exception on the food side — bring one for a celebration and our team will plate and serve it, with no cakeage fee.
Email us with the date and what you have lost and we will check the cloakroom and the office. We hold items for a reasonable period before they are disposed of or donated.
