Casino & gaming floor

The casino floor, two steps from the bar

A proper gaming floor inside the venue — machines, blackjack, roulette and a private poker room — with the full drinks list brought to you and the dance floor still within earshot. Entry is 20+ and there is no door charge to walk in.

Open nightly

The machine lounge opens with the doors. Blackjack runs Thursday to Sunday, roulette on Friday and Saturday, poker in scheduled midweek sessions.

What is on the floor

Machines open every night

A low-lit lounge off the side bar, spaced seating and a service button at every bank.

Dealer-run tables

Blackjack Thursday to Sunday, roulette on weekends, low-stake tables early on.

Bar service to the floor

Cocktails, taps, wine, zero-alcohol and bar snacks without leaving your seat.

The casino

A gaming floor built into a bar

Most casino rooms feel like they were sealed off from whatever else is happening in the building. Ours was not. The casino lounge sits off the side of the main room, through a doorway rather than down a corridor — close enough that your group can split up for half an hour and find each other again, far enough that the speaker stacks are not sitting on top of the tables.

Walk in and the machine lounge is the first thing you reach: warm lamp light, spaced seating, no harsh overheads and a service button at every bank. Past it, the dealer tables run along the far wall, with blackjack open from early evening and the roulette wheel brought into play as the room fills on a Friday or Saturday. The poker room sits behind its own door with its own service, for people who want a game rather than a crowd.

There is no membership, no sign-up and no door charge. Bring photo ID, walk in the way you would to any other part of the venue, and play as small as you like — the low-stake tables exist precisely so the floor is not only for people who already know what they are doing.

Gaming machines

Open from doors until close, every night we are trading. Spaced seating, warm lighting and table service, so you are not standing at the bar with a drink in each hand.

Table games

Blackjack with our own dealers Thursday to Sunday, roulette on weekend nights. Low-stake tables open first for anyone still learning the game.

Poker room

A separate room with its own door and its own service. Scheduled midweek sessions, and the whole room can be booked out for a private game.

Service on the floor

A service bar inside the lounge covers the full cocktail, beer, wine and zero-alcohol list, plus bar snacks from the kitchen well past midnight.

What the casino lounge runs

Six parts to the gaming side of the venue. Table openings move with how busy the room is, so if you are coming in specifically for one of them, ask us before you travel.

Gaming Machine Lounge

A low-lit room off the side lounge with our gaming machines, set far enough from the speaker stacks that you can hear yourself think. Seats are spaced, the lighting is warm rather than harsh, and there is a service button at every bank so a drink comes to you instead of you queueing for it.

Blackjack & Table Games

Dealer-run tables open in the early evening and stay open until the small hours on Friday and Saturday. Blackjack runs most nights, with low-stake tables early for anyone learning and our dealers happy to talk a first-timer through the hand before the cards come out.

Roulette

The wheel is the social end of the floor — a group can stand around one table, play small, and still be ten steps from the bar and the music. We open it as the room fills on Friday and Saturday and keep it running while there are players on it.

Casino Lounge Bar

A service bar sits inside the casino lounge so the full cocktail, beer, wine and zero-alcohol list reaches the floor without anyone walking back across the venue. Bar snacks come through from the kitchen on the same run, right through to late.

Your visit

How a night on the floor works

It works the same way the rest of the venue does. There is nothing to sign up to and nobody takes your details at the door — just ID, and then the floor is yours for as long as you want it.

  1. ID at the door. Entry is 20+ and our door team check current photo ID for every guest, every visit — a New Zealand driver licence, Kiwi Access Card or passport. We sight it and hand it straight back.
  2. Decide your limit before you sit down. Treat it as the cost of the evening rather than money you expect back. Our team will help you hold to it if you ask them to.
  3. Start small if you are new. The early-evening blackjack tables run at low stakes for exactly this reason, and the dealers will walk you through a hand before the cards come out.
  4. Order from your seat. Use the service button at the machines or wave down the lounge bar — the full drinks list and the bar snack menu both come to the floor.
  5. Take breaks. Go back to the main room, get something to eat, catch the DJ set for twenty minutes. The floor is still there when you come back.
